What is Class Value Added Services?
CVAS are the services provided by the telecom service provider to the consumers. CVAS are the SMS, Voice Call and data services which are provided by the telecom service providers. And for such services the telecom operator has to obtain a license from the PTA in order to offer Voice Call and SMS related services to their consumers.
What is Broadband?
Broadband is a telecommunication channel which is capable of transferring large volumes of data.
The Authority under Class Value Added Services Licensing and Registration Regulation 2007 issued the following types of licenses:
● Class License for Voice Value Added Services
● Class License for Data Value Added Services
● Registration Certificate for registered services
The main function of this regulation is to authorize the PTA for issuance and renewal of the license and also issuance of registration certificate in order to regulate their services for above-mentioned Value Added Services with the certain rights and conditions of the license mentioned under section 16, 17 and 18 of the regulation ibid.
How to obtain License for Class Value Added Services?
Application for grant of license:
Application for grant of license or registration of services to provide the Value Added Services shall be made in the prescribed form to the Director General Licensing of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
Following documents must be annexed with the application:
● Category Form
● Applicant’s Profile
● Evaluation Fee
● Certificate of Incorporation (including MoA & AoA)
